Astropy is about to release v3.1 of the package! This release has been focused on performance enhancements with improvements across the package. In addition to the performance enhancements, new features have been added including “box least squares” periodogram in astropy.stats, new functionality to Coordinates and Time, and a new experimental Uncertainty class. In addition, we highlight the project infrastructure designed to facilitate collaboration on the development of open source software.
